Noret, D-Coventry, West Warwick Rhode Island business owners could be prosecuted for making their employees get COVID shots or refusing a hotel room to someone who isn t vaccinated under legislation now before state lawmakers.    A bill introduced by Coventry Democrat Thomas Noret would make vaccination status a protected class under the state law that currently defends people from discrimination based on their race, gender or sexual orientation. It would also block the governor from making vaccination mandatory in a state of emergency and prohibits financial institutions from refusing loans based on vaccination status.
