M. Basketeball Plays Host To Notre Dame Wednesday At 8:30 P.M.

TALLAHASSE, Fla. Florida State, which holds an undefeated 6-0 record at home against Notre Dame, plays host to the Fighting Irish on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 8:30 at the Donald L. Tucker Center.  The game will be televised on the ACC Network, and is the Seminoles’ final game of the fall semester.  Florida State’s players and coaches will be off until beginning preparations for its next ACC game at Duke.  The Seminoles are 1-1 in ACC play after traveling to play at Virginia (December 3) and gaining a victory in their ACC home opener against Louisville (73-55, December 10).  The Seminoles’ game against Notre Dame is their third ACC game of the season and first of 18 consecutive conference games to close out the regular season.  Following Wednesday’s game at home against Notre Dame, the Seminoles travel to play at Duke on December 31, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. FLORIDA STATE’S RECENT ACC SUCCESS AT THE TUCKER CENTER Florida State is 50-6 in ACC play at the Donald L. M. Basketball Travels To Virginia To Open ACC Play

TALLAHASSE, Fla. Florida State, which has won four of its last five games against Virginia, travels to play the Cavaliers on Saturday, December 4, 2022 at the John Paul Jones Arena in the 2022-23 ACC opener for both teams.  The Seminoles have won two consecutive games against Virginia including their dramatic, come-from-behind buzzer-beating win over the Cavaliers, 64-63, at Virginia on February 26, 2022 on Virginia’s home court.  Matthew Cleveland, the 2022 ACC Sixth Man of the Year, gave the Seminoles the win on a last second shot which gave the Seminoles the ACC road victory.  Florida State’s game against Virginia is the first of two times the teams are scheduled to meet this season with the second meeting coming in Tallahassee on January 14, 2022.  Following Saturday’s game at Virginia, the Seminoles have a week off for final exams before playing host to Louisville on December 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. HAMILTON, FLORIDA STATE WITH TWO NATIONAL HISTORICAL RECORDS .Florida St ....

Hamilton Named To National Coach Of The Year Watch List
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) – Florida State Head Coach Leonard Hamilton, who has led the Seminoles to a 12-3 overall record and an 8-2 mark in ACC play, has been named to the Late Season Watch List for the Werner Ladder Naismith National Coach of the Year. Hamilton is a candidate for the National Coach of the Year Award for the second consecutive season. He is one of two ACC coaches on the list.
Hamilton and his staff have guided the Seminoles to a No. 16 national ranking just one season after losing three players to the NBA and a fourth who is enjoying a significant career as a professional player in Europe. Hamilton On Ballot For Naismith Hall of Fame Class of 2021
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) – Florida State’s Leonard Hamilton, who has won nearly 600 games and who is the fifth all-time winningest coach in ACC history, was named as an eligible candidate for the Naismith Hall of Fame Class of 2021.  Hamilton highlights the list of four first time coaching candidates including Ken Anderson (Wisconsin-Eau Claire), Lou Henson (Hardin-Simmons, New Mexico State, Illinois) and Paul Westhead (NBA and College).
Hamilton is in his 19
th season as the Seminoles’ Head Coach and is the winningest coach in program history with 365 wins during his tenure at Florida State.  He has led Florida State to a pair of ACC Championships (2012 and 2020) and to seven NCAA Tournament appearances.  In his first 18 years at Florida State, the Seminoles have advanced to the postseason 14 ....
