Flooding in Sankey Bridges last month
BURGLARS have targeted another house which was left devastated by flooding from Storm Christoph.
A break-in was reported at an address on Rostherne Close in Sankey Bridges at around 6.30am on Saturday, January 30.
Members of the public reportedly caught the suspect red-handed, with police having arrested a 40-year-old man at the scene.
Sebastian Sarota, of no fixed address, has since been charged with theft in relation to the incident.
He is due to appear before Warrington Magistrates Court in order to face this charge later today, Monday.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At 6.30am on Saturday, January 30, police were called to reports of a burglary at an address on Rostherne Close. ....
