Sebastian Rennie has been appointed Chief Investment Officer to lead GroupM’s evolved Investment and Partnerships function. He will oversee the GroupM Investment and Partnerships function, drive innovation, maximise the performance of the group’s media agencies and deliver clients media solutions and value in line with GroupM’s Responsible Investment framework.
oOh!media has announced the appointment of Dani O’Meara to the newly created role of NSW Sales Director, Independent Agencies. O’Meara will provide strategic leadership to the company’s independent agency sales function, working with around 170 agencies.

Sebastian Rennie is returning to the CIO position in Australia and New Zealand after spending three years in the role for GroupM Canada. Rennie will take up the local post in June.

The appointment of Rennie comes just days after MediaCom CEO Willie Pang was made managing director of GroupM services, taking the lead on the group’s global digital transformation strategy. In his place Yaron Farizon, currently CEO of MediaCom Russia and MediaCom Connections Israel, will become CEO of MediaCom AUNZ – also commencing his role on 1 June. Meanwhile, the hunt for a new CEO of GroupM for Australia and New Zealand is still on, following the departure of Mark Lollback in March.
