EOHU vaccine total at over 63,000, and local Standby list now open | Cornwall Standard-Freeholder

Over 63,000 vaccines have been administered in the local catchment area, and the region’s medical officer of health expects a dramatic rise in that number as May moves along.
Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, in his Monday afternoon media conference, talked about expected big increases in vaccine supply in May, and that, by early June, a “first dose will (be available) to everyone, most likely,” he said.

“I think we are rolling out the vaccine quite nicely.”
That number is an increase of 2,539 doses since the last update on Friday. Based on a target of immunizing 180,000 people at two doses per person, Monday’s reported count puts the EOHU at 17.6 per cent of its target. This overall number includes some who’ve already received both doses, so the count on the number of people who’ve received at least one dose is likely closer to 30 per cent. ....
