Overnight pg e started cutting power to more than 500,000 homes and businesses, 200,000 in the north bay, thats due to the high fire danger and the red flag warning, this is a live look at the outages, you can see that large swatch of purple across the north bay, this is phase one according to pg e. Now a second phase is set to start about noon, and last at least through tonight. Outages will impact parts of contra costa, santa clara, alameda and san mateo counties.
