FARMINGTON - At the RSU 9 Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday night, board members discussed the fundraising plan for the Mt. Blue High School Competition Field expenses. The Mt. Blue All Sports Boosters (MBASB) Turf Committee has been developing a capital fundraising campaign to replace the grass surface on Caldwell Field with synthetic turf.
Regional School Unit 9 directors also approved a proposal by the club to give naming rights to certain facilities at Caldwell Field at Mt. Blue High School.
After a lengthy discussion on Tuesday, Jan. 23, the Regional School Unit 9 board of directors voted to allow the Mt. Blue High School All Sports Boosters to fundraise to replace current soccer fields with Astro Turf.
Amanda Clark, a social worker and McKinney-Vento liaison for RSU 9, reported to the board of directors on Tuesday, Nov. 28, the number of students experiencing homelessness in the district.
