'Slap in the face': Albertans react to news that at least 8 UCP staffers travelled internationally over Christmas

The fall out continues from the revelation at least eight UCP staffers, including five elected officials, recently travelled outside Canada against public health advice.
Political observers, ethics experts and other Albertans are voicing outrage, demanding someone be held responsible.
On Dec. 23, MLA Tanya Fir posted a Facebook video holiday greeting in beautiful Carburg Park, which is within the riding of Calgary-Peigan, but it turns out Fir was nowhere near her riding on Christmas.
She travelled to Las Vegas to be with her sister, despite a provincial recommendation against non-essential travel and a government directive to spend Christmas with only your household. ....

Winter this year in the northland has been a bit unexpected. With early snow in October, to a practically none until before Christmas, it s also proving difficult for snow clearing supplies.
After the big Thanksgiving snow storm from 2019, Denny’s Lawn and Garden planned to stock up on shovels and repair equipment anticipating more strong storms.
What they didn t expect was how early the snow would come and how the pandemic would impact them.
Early Northland snow in October is causing local snow blower repairers to run low on their inventories as the pandemic is also causing order to get made much slower. ....
