to wake up to. the sunrise will be coming up in the next 20 minutes. we are here for a serious reason. not just to enjoy what promises to be a lovely day. we are discussing a topic which matters an awful lot to you at home. water quality. the amount of sewage in our water. this morning we will hear from the water companies. we hearfrom the environment secretary, therese coffey. we will hear from campaigners. and we would love to hearfrom campaigners. and we would love to hear from you as well. we will let you know how to get in touch throughout breakfast. because we have a big bbc investigation today, it has found that what looks like the water companies illegally discharging raw sewage hundreds of times last year. our team has seen analysis. they have looked at data from three of the largest water companies, times, wessex and southern water. it appears to show that on 400 spills last year, lasting thousands of hours, sewage was released, not during wet weather, storms, ....

three hours of breaking stories, and checking out the truth behind them. israel has ruled out allowing basic resources or humanitarian aid into gaza until hamas releases the hostages it abducted during the weekend attack. at least 1,300 israelis were killed in the assault, and at least 150 people are thought to have been kidnapped. israel s total blockade of gaza means food and clean water are running out, the mains electricity is cut, and raw sewage is building up in the streets. gaza s health ministry say israel s sustained bombardment has now killed more than 1,400 people nearly a third of them children. the red cross says the blockade risks turning gaza s hospitals into mortuaries, warning fuel for generators could run out on thursday. but israel s energy minister has insisted no electricity, fuel or water supplies will be turned on until the hostages are home. the us secretary of state has assured israel of washington s unwavering support, and warned its adversar ....

which was causing problems, the government changed its guidance for buildings with that school buildings, with that concrete in it and essentially a number of schools found themselves needing to close either entirely or partially. because this is a list the government said basically would keep staff and parents updated. so, we hear today that there are now 174 schools affected by this study, that is up by 27 from two weeks ago. in essence what the government has been doing is going through schools, it sent out a questionnaire last year, questionnaire about this concrete has now come back and in essence the government is going through working out exactly who has got a problem and who hasn t. the other thing we learned from the list today, 85% of schools who have got this raac problem are now fully open and offering face to face teaching for their pupils. that is 148 schools. there is still one school that is closed, in essence, but is offering online learning to its pupi ....
