It was the first attack on an elementary school in a wave of such attacks in which more than 700 people have been abducted since December. Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna state’s commissioner for internal security, said in a press briefing that Rema Primary School, in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, was attacked at around 8:50am (0750 GMT) on Monday.
