He said that the city has been able to achieve this because of a range of initiatives spanning traffic engineering, public transportation enhancements, targeted interventions at congested junctions, and infrastructure improvements.
Speaking with Bangalore Mirror, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Solid Waste Management, Junior Health Inspector Kirthiraj said that six pourakarmikas participated in the clean-up drive. “We participate in clean-up drives regularly at different locations. Single-use plastic has become a nuisance at these places,’’ he added.
