know. but we are getting more information. here is what cnn is learning from someone familiar with the matter. the search of mar-a-lago came after federal authorities believed trump or his team had not actually returned all of the documents and materials that belonged to the government. you ll remember that they handed over 15 boxes of material earlier this year, but now a lawyer for trump tells the washington post that they took 12 more boxes from a basement storage area of trump s home. two other important points from cnn s sources. one, authorities believe the documents at mar-a-lago had national security implications. and two, there is also suspicion that after months of discussions about this, that trump s team wasn t being completely honest with investigators. meanwhile, the justice department isn t saying a thing more than 24 hours after this extraordinary step as trump supporters rallied behind him tonight. we love you, donald! yes, yes, i love you, i love you! i
