first we are going to look outside with ava and i could barely see this morning. it is so foggy out there, especially in low-lying spots where you really have to watch this morning. i already saw a minor accident on the road on my way to work. just take it easy because there s light drizzle across the area and people don t expect the roads to be slick but it takes a little bit of rain to get the roads slippery. if you plan to travel, there will be dense areas of fog to worry about. temperatures hovering around 50 degrees, 49 at b.w.i. marshall. the dew point at 49, as well, so a relative humidity at 100%, spelling trouble for fog, and even some drizzle. a chance of showers throughout the day as a cold front is in and around the area. this is the warm front ahead of that. temperatures won t move much, staying in the upper 40 s to low 50 s through the gay day. a big game down towards d.c. and details coming up in a few minutes. hour big story this morning, the dallas co ....
clucks a winter storm headed our way and maryland officials encouraging people to get ready for outages. live team coverage, but first we had over to the weather center with tony pann. let s get some predictions. this is not going to be a blockbuster storm closing down the whole state, but it is a respectable little storm coming through. it will start between 3:00-6:00 a.m. and end in the late afternoon. it is a quick moving out the storm. mostly snow in the northern suburbs. total accumulations will range from 1 inch in the southern suburbs to may be up to four inches in the far northern and southern northern and western suburbs. if you take your time on the roads, you should get around without too much of a problem. nadia ramdas keeping an eye on how the road crews are preparing for the storm. here we go again and. another round of winter-like weather this weekend. we re just going to have to get used to it. it s one of the many locations where they will be load ....

preview of the hurricane s strength. we have team coverage tonight as the storm approaches the mid-atlantic region. sarah sampson is in ocean city tonight, where residents could be on the front line of the storm. george is in the low-lying areas of fell s point as people are gathering sandbags. but let s go to our meteorologist who is tracking the storm. john, what s the latest? well, sandy is a hurricane, marginal, category one, with 75-mile-an-hour winds, a little better than 300 miles away from cape hatteras. here s what the weather looks like for us. we had the cold front to the west and all that moisture coming up from the south from sandy. but it s kind of held down to the extreme southeast virginia, the mouth of the chesapeake bay. we ve had a very nice afternoon this afternoon so far. let s switch over to our main computer and here are the various tracks. we still got a variety of solutions, but most of them converge on new jersey. i want to kind of focus now, ....
