the thing i noticed when i look at the people who are clearing this bar is there is no policy difference with trump. that s but they all renamed themselves in this image that s the thing in the party. like, you can have people like chris christie who want to do what trump wants to do in a different way. but what they want to do is the same. all the people on that stage are gonna be anti-gay, anti-women, anti-schools, anti-education, anti-black, anti hispanic. that s their party. that is from the top to the bottom, right? and so, all they are debating about really is style. like, do you want the guy who tells, give people or do you want the guy who says, i don t like you today. like, that is the debate. i take the point that elie makes, michelle, that a lot of this will end up being and perhaps none of it will actually move the needle when it came to republican primary voters. i think we all agree that we are not entirely sure what would move the needle with
books. it was a terrific statement on earlier today with ali velshi and a 100-year-old woman who talked about the danger of banning books, and what that authoritarianism. that s exactly what is going on here, control, and one segment of society s control over all societies children so, of course i voted against that very dangerous stunt. people really have to be keenly aware that it is not just, oh, jeez, i hate that book. it is don t say gay, it is really threatening the lives. and health of our children. and it is trying to narrow their education so that the truth will not be taught. how dangerous that is because the truth will be repeated. history will repeat itself undemocratic, an american, anti-education moved by people
so radical, but so much ideology and principle of focusing on the family is somehow wrong and that it takes a community, and what they mean is government, to raise your kids or make choices. the void is there, republicans have to fill it. so what are they doing? hey, look, the policies that we already support are what promotes a family and protects a family and gives a family the freedom to live as americans. so i think it s really smart. i also think it s de facto really true. pete: yeah. and i hope they boldly fill it. they re going to be accused of anti-education, see what the unions represent, what they care about, they want to take control of your kids at the lowest of ages. rachel: i just want to say they ve gone so far left on those democrats side, they ve gone so radical that it s so obvious and transparent what they re trying to do is separate parents and their children, separate the children from the values of the parents. it s now laid bare, and you have a choice. there s o

republican party is throwing out there. they wrap their message in, what s sounds like something that people would be interested in, when, in fact, it is anti-democratic. everything the talk about anti-education, anti-democratic, anti-health care, anti-everything, but they wrap it in this conundrum. the message is confusing. when you hear election integrity, it s also something, yes, we should get around that. but when you understand, what they mean by election integrity, and stripping voting rights from people, closing polling stations, disallowing absentee voting, things like that, that is not election integrity. that is just a way to suppress the vote, and that is how they think they can win. they can t win with the vote, so they try to limit the people who can vote. carol, thank you for joining us tonight. carol glenville, in the michigan elect, we appreciate your time. thank you. coming up next, the january six investigation, interviewing
