. and breaking news, a massive manhunt that stretched from right here in california to idaho has come to an end. just minutes ago, we learned the suspect in the amber alert case has been killed and the teenage girl he abducted is safe. good evening, everyone. i m heather holmes. and i m ken pritchett in for ken wane. 40-year-old james dimaggio was located in a remote wilderness area near cascade, idaho. officers respondented him, along with 16-year-old kidnap victim hannah anderson from the air at their camp site. this afternoon, s.w.a.t. teams went in and shot dimaggio after a confrontation. it is not clear if dimaggio was armed. hannah anderson is being taken to a hospital to be checked out. we now want to go live to idaho, where a news conference is under way, giving us the latest information on this amber alert case. let s take a listen. hannah anderson is okay. we re told she has been brought now and is on her way to the hospital.
