evacuations at an apartment complex. kiet do joins us live from campbell with the latest. kiet. reporter: good morning. this is the 100 block of union avenue in campbell at the scene of a three-vehicle foyer that started at 4:00 this morning fire that started at 4:00 this morning when a car suddenly burst into flames, unknown why. flames spread to two nearby cars and the fire continued to grow. it forced the evacuation of about 40 people living in the apartment complex next door. everybody got out safely. and then the heat and the flames ruptured the gas tank in two of the vehicles up to 40 gallons of fuel started going towards the storm drain. the firefighters rushed over and plugged up the drains. they are in the process of pumping out a lot of the water/fuel mix. they say a small amount made it into the los gatos creek. there s a thick smell of fuel out here. but again, crisis averted here in campbell as the santa clara county fire department deals with this three vehi
