Alleged underworld kingpin Modack to spend first night in notorious Pollsmoor prison By Genevieve Serra Share Cape Town - Alleged underworld boss Nafiz Modack will spend his first night at Pollsmoor Prison after a week in the police holding cells and he has indicated he intends on opening a case of attempted murder against the Bellville Special Task Force. His case, together with two others including Zane Kilian, will be moved to Blue Downs Regional Court for security reasons. Modack, Jacques Cronje and Ricardo Morgan, who were arrested last week during a high-speed chase in Century City, were joined by Kilian in the dock at the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning for a list of charges relating to intimidation, kidnapping, extortion, money laundering, and contravention of the Electronic Communications Act.

Nafiz Modack expected back in court again, this time alongside cop Share Criminal charges are racking up against alleged underworld figure Nafiz Modack, after he made an appearance in the Cape Town Magistrateâs Court on Monday. Modack, who was arrested last week after a high-speed chase near Century City, is expected to appear again in the Bishop Lavis Magistrateâs Court on Tuesday morning with a police officer as a co-accused in a separate case, said National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila. According to Hawks spokesperson Katlego Mogale, a 39-year-old police member attached to the tactical response team was arrested during the weekend on âsuspicion of proliferation of information to unsavoury characters operating in the Western Cape underworldâ.
