Siskiyou Daily News When someone purchases something at Camp Siskiyou, they re not only providing revenue to the store s owner, Sam Bal. They re also supporting local artisans, since much of what s sold there was made by Siskiyou County artisans. The store, which opened last month at 1275 S. Main Street in Yreka, is also a resource to help people discover all the sights and attractions one can experience in Siskiyou County, including recommendations for campsites, hikes, motels, restaurants, attractions and events. The store also sells its wares online. “The ultimate goal here is to promote local businesses,” said Bal. The store acts as a 24/7 marketplace for Siskiyou County artisans assisting the growth of our great communities and stimulating the economy on a local level, he said. ....
