questioning some with regards to lindsey graham but it will probably not ultimately prevent him from having to testify as these appeals go up the chain. other witnesses have attempted to block the subpoenas from testifying. by and large graham has been told that he is a witness and not a target. the da is interested in the calls that he made to raffensperger that the sticker terry of state says that graham tried to influence him to throw out legitimate votes. graham denies that. he says he was just checking on the election integrity and that ultimately he voted to certify the election. but he is known on capitol hill as one of the people who was closest to donald trump. if this investigation is making its way up to trump, lindsey graham would be someone with direct knowledge and conversations of what donald trump was doing at what he was asking of lindsey graham. i want to also turn to the investigation in florida. we are juggling, covering so many investigations across t
court nominee clarence thomas. televised hearings that featured blockbuster testimony from professor anita hill who detailed allegations of workplace sexual harassment by judge thomas who was her supervisor at two government agencies. after approximately three months of working there, he asked me to go out socially with him. what happened next and tlling the world about it are the two most difficult experiences of my life. but when i was asked by a representative of this committee to report my experience, i felt that i had to tell the truth. the hearing sparked a national debate about sexual harassment and a time when such harassment went largely ignored and unpunished. it also brought attention to a troubling dynamic, the senate judiciary committee led by then senator joe biden was composed solely of old white guys. sharply and sometimes rudely questioning a black law professor about what happened to her. no women serve on that committee in 1991. well, that was about to
hours of the morning. and they started letting in patients inside of the mississippi last abortion clinic long before it opened. now they are actively doing abortions and we were able to speak with the abortion providers inside. he said he s been doing this work for 30 years because he believes in it so strongly. that this is the right to health care for women and he came specific to mississippi because there was such a need. he s concerned now after the next ten days because it doesn t go into effect right away in mm mississippi. and there is a ten day period and after that ends what will happen to the women of mississippi. and if you look on a map, you ll see this state is surrounded by other states that have trigger laws. so you ll have to either drive for several hours or get on a plane to get to another state to have access to an abortion. along with those concerns and the procedures that are happening inside of this building that many of the locals here call the pink ho
one of the most consequential decisions in supreme court history was just handed down. the conservative majority of justices overturned roe vs. wade, ending the constitutional right to an abortion. in a narrow 5-4 vote, the landmark decision reverses nearly 50 years of court precedent. this is sparking a range of emotions from victory celebrations to outrage. you see some vocal protesters gathering outside of the supreme court at this hour. president biden called the decision a, quote, tragic error. today, the supreme court of the united states expressly took away a constitutional right from the american people that had already recognized. they didn t limit it. they simply took it away. state laws banning abortion are automatically taking effect today, jeopardizing the health of millions of women, some without exceptions. so extreme that the women could be punished for protecting their health. so, the stunning decision now turns abortion rights over to the states, and the
