The Delhi Congress on Saturday said its unit’s vice-president Ali Mehdi and two councillors were still with the party, a day after they defected to the AAP, adding that the workers were enticed with blandishments by AAP.
The world is round for the former vice president of the Delhi Congress, Ali Mehdi as he announced his return to his home party just hours after joining the Aam Aadmi Party.
Mr Mehdi said that newly elected councillors Sabila Begum from Mustafabad and Nazia Khatoon from Brijpuri, who had joined AAP along with him, have also rejoined the Congress.
"We have invited the BJP and Congress to work for the betterment of Delhi. I am very happy to announce that Delhi Congress vice-president Ali Mehdi and the party s two newly elected councillors Sabila Begum and Nazia Khatoon are joining AAP," Pathak said.
