Reloading in intensity overnight tonight and through the day tomorrow, hurricane warnings in affect for the bahamas as well as much of the east coast of florida, miami north, up through Daytona Beach and the north of there, its a hurricane watch. On the other side of florida, its a Tropical Storm watch, many that conditions are possible, tropicalstorm force conditions are possible tampa and fort myers, but again the brunt of the storm will be in the east coast of florida. Elderly man was behind the wheel. Live in newton to bring us up to speed at 7 00. Kimberly. Reporter state police are telling us they believe a medical emergency is to blame for that driver driving the wrong way on the mass pike for 3 miles and scaring everyone in his path. It happened around 3 40 this afternoon. An 80 year old man from westwood got on the pike at 19 at the he drove 3 miles the wrong way going west in the eastbound lane. You see from the sky 7 video he was in a silver cadillac that stopped when he hit the median separating traffic near exit 17 in newton. There were 3 other cars trying to avoid him that crashed into one another. Newton Fire Fighters ems and state police responded. They put him on a stretcher. Charges are pending.
