Abigail Dougherty/Stuff Rex McIntosh and Keith Dixon were two of the nine men charged with historical sexual offending in connection with Dilworth School in Epsom, Auckland. According to the police summary of facts filed with the High Court, McIntosh began teaching at Dilworth in 1971. The following year he was made master of a boarding house. He was also the Junior Choir master, an art teacher and diving instructor. McIntosh lasted eight years at the school. The police summary of facts, released to Stuff, says McIntosh befriended a 13-year-old student and invited him to his home on school grounds after dinner. ....
On Thursday the High Court confirmed to Stuff that no application had been filed, clearing the way for Dixon to be named. Abigail Dougherty/Stuff According to charge sheets seen by Stuff, the alleged offending by the 70-year-old was said to have occurred in the early 1970s in Auckland and Christchurch, against three boys under the age of 16. Dixon was excused from appearing at his first District Court and High Court appearances due to his medical condition and because he lived in Palmerston North. He was jailed in 2014 for two years and two months after admitting two charges of inducing a 9-year-old to do an indecent act in 1973, according to Radio New Zealand. ....
Wednesday, 19 May 2021, 10:51 am Nine infrastructure renewal projects are being rolled out across Kaipara District this year. The work has been funded as part of the Three Waters Reform process, after Kaipara District Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in August 2020. The Government-led programme has provided incentives for Councils to partner in the first stages of the Reform Programme. Councils are able to opt out of discussions at any future stage. The first project – renewal of approx. 2,500m of watermain renewals in Haimona Street and Pirika Street, Dargaville – is nearing completion now.
