Two young fundraisers from Barrow who donated more than £3,000 to Bay Hospitals Charity have been invited for a VIP tour of Furness General Hospital. Emme-Rose Deakin, six, ran a mile a day in January, raising £1,443 for the charity. Then in February, eight-year-old Lilli-Mae Archer took on a 5k-a-day challenge and raised a further £1,705. To say thank you for their fundraising efforts, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust chief nurse and deputy chief executive Sue Smith OBE has invited them for a tour.
