An official of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on Friday, May 28, warned the public against persons who are using his name in a scam and asked stakeholders first to “verify first” with the agency before dealing with such individuals.

Issuing an official statement posted on the official Facebook page of CHED, Commissioner Ronald L. Adamat informed and warned the public about “certain individuals who are victimizing some SUCs” using the name of “Commissioner Ronald Adamat” in a scam to solicit favors.
In particular, Adamat warned the state universities and colleges (SUCs) as well private higher education institutions (PHEIs) against these individuals who are soliciting favors “ranging from cellphone prepaid load worth P5,000 up to P10,000, and even telling these SUCs that he is visiting them and requesting for hotel accommodations.”
In celebration of the 5th Anniversary of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), HWPL Philippines held an online conference on March 7, 2021 under the theme “Building a Peaceful World through DPCW” to raise awareness about the importance of the DPCW as a basis for a legal framework to achieve sustainable peace in the society.
The DPCW is a document in the form of a Preamble with 10 articles and 38 clauses to be implemented as international law for the cessation of war. It was drafted by the HWPL International Law Peace Committee which is comprised of prominent international law experts from 15 different countries.
