lawyers asked the judge to call her up for questioning, but the judge refused the request. the decision by the state decision by ron lipscomb out of the case left the jurors hopelessly confused. ron lipscomb s lawyers said that meant they had to remember what they were told to forget. the judge has also gotten reports about two cases of jurors talking to outside parties during deliberations. it is possible that some jurors will be called to testify at the hearing. 11 news learned late this afternoon, the state and transportation authority have been added to the lawsuit filed by the family claims the state and the transportation authority allowed the bridge to corrode. the $7 million lawsuit was first filed in june against the 19- year-old driver that caused the accident. the baltimore judge extended the protective order against terrell suggs. i-team reporter david collins joins us now who is live in east baltimore. raisins linebacker terrell suggs did not contes ....

the defense wants the decision on embezzlement thrown out. mayor dixon. s a new trial. her defense laid out a motion, which wjz obtained. among the last ones, that the jury was unfair. that jurors were communicating outside of the courtroom, online. also, shiron davis, juror number 6, never disclosed that she was charged with theft in the past. and that juror number 3, shawona tyler, won a city- affiliated sweepstakes, where she had contact with the mayor, which she did not disclose. also that the counts related to ron lipscomb prejudiced the jury. now, judge dennis sweeney holds her fate in his hands. he is ruling on the motion and deciding the mayor s sentence. here you have very competent lawyers on both sides. and you have a very competent, straightforward, no-bull, fair judge. reporter: as wjz first reported january 21st is the sentencing date. the mayor will remain in office until then. but whether she stays beyond that is unclear. first, it depends on the s ....

hi, everybody. i m sally thorner. kai is off today. and we begin with breaking news. this hour, crews are hard at work, trying to repair yet another broken water main in the city. hundreds are without water in one north baltimore city. and eyewitness news is live outside the scene of west poly high school. hi, pat. reporter: hi, sally. this happened around 10:30 this morning. and although it s nothing nearly as spectacular as the water main breaks at dundalk or lombard, for hundreds of people, it s inconvenient. reporter: people will notice the road blocked by water repair work. but that means nothing compared to when they ll find when they get in the house. well, i think, how am i going to make dinner? how am i going to make myself a cup of tea? how long will it be off? reporter: the break in the 10-inch main could take hours to three days to repair, depending on the damage. and as many as 1,000 people will have no water. we know it s the season when these oc ....
