Regional standout duo Trinadora (Janel Nelson and Ron Holm) provides the music for a Katie's gala Cinco de Mayo benefit celebration. Doors open at 6pm, and the event runs from 7pm to 9pm. <br/><br/>This year we feature choreographed performances by Francie's Dancers in addition to the Trinadora potpourri of Mexican and Latin-influenced songs. Janel and Ron select from over a dozen instruments to self-accompany their vocals, and they always keep a strong rhythm and bass line for dancing. Floor space for dancing will be provided. <br/><br/>On this special day, Katie's menu will include a one-of-a-kind chili blend, Mexican coffee, and other unique entrées. <br/><br/>The donation for admission is only $5, although larger amounts are appreciated to further the mission of Katie's coffee bar, a nonprofit community treasure. Chip Messiner, Janel Nelson, and Ron Holm pay vocal tribute to their favorite larger-than-life talents in a fundraiser for Boone County CASA. <br/>This year's concert introduces Conway Twitty, George Strait, and Linda Ronstadt hits in addition to the Glen Campbell, Tanya Tucker, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Kenny Rogers, and Marty Robbins standards that audiences love. <br/>John Bishoff adds lead guitar and harmony vocals and Doyle Miller adds drums, creating the lush studio sounds that helped make the stars famous, Janel selects from a dozen instruments, while Chip and Ron round out the sound with acoustic and bass guitars. <br/><br/>This event is a fundraiser for the Boone County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program http://www.boonecountycasa.org/ Tickets are $15.
