What are your biggest concerns . Guest number one. Great to be here today. People have been talking about this a lot over the past week 1 2 or two or three, whos counting . But it is not a positionim unfamiliar with. As you know, i spent 11 years on my state Public Utility Commission in South Carolina and if you know anything about South Carolina it is a state that does not have the political balance on its commission. So i was either one of one or one of, one of seven or, two of seven depending on where thing. So it is not a very uncomfortable and uncommon place for me. What i feel and what i hope we will have Going Forward is the need to really address the Communications Needs of this nation. Theres a lot of work to do when it comes to broadband coverage. Mobile broadband is something i care about in particular. Really connecting communities and bridging the digital divide. Those are things that he i care about. I trust that those will not have partisan leanings. Host do you plan on

This book documents the many ways, especially since the progressive era, that the presumption of liberty, the freedom at the heart of our founding principles and documents, has been extinguished in favor after presumption for government, with individuals having to obtain permission from government officials before being able to act. Property owners have long experienced this reversal of course. Today they often find before they can make any ch

There legally action able whatsoever. So thats easy. Then theres the question of how you have the right pollution standards and, ultimately, its a big issue. Im much more of the view that this should be resolved, you know, much more in courts actually than by an agency like epa. So that theres a really good essay in the book climate coup by this guy named roger pilon which gives a pretty good critique of the executive state in this issue and gives a positive alternative. Im in that school, but its definitely not my focus. Part of the reason its the moral case is to evaluate what is the impact on human life and then give certain rough political guidance but thats a guide for policymakers to say we cannot be trying to outlaw this stuff thats fundamentally good for human life. So thats what im attempting to do with the book but theres tons more work to do beyond that. All right. Well, good news, we have copies of alexs book outside, and im sure hed be happy to sign them. Yes. Okay, great.
