Kentucky Derby party: See inside 2-story Unbridled Eve Derby Gala home

Tonya York’s Indian Hills home is warm, welcoming, and full of mementos and artifacts from friends, family, and her travels. It’s full of cozy, carefully thought-out spaces but it wasn’t always that way. When she purchased the property, she knew she had to put some work into the place; and, she says, the home improvement process hasn’t stopped. Made of memories “This was a total fixer-upper,” York said. “I never could have afforded it otherwise.” When she purchased the house about 20 years ago, it hadn’t been touched in quite some time. It sat vacant for nearly a year before the previous owner’s children finally got around to selling it.

Kentucky State Police's Top Recruiter Reassigned For Attending D.C. Trump Rally

Credit KSP The Kentucky State Police trooper who was reassigned after attending the Jan. 6 Trump rally in Washington, D.C., was the agency’s top recruiter.  Capt. Michael Webb was reassigned on Jan. 8 from his position in the recruitment branch to the Inspections and Evaluations Branch, his personnel file shows.  A week after the rally, KSP issued a statement saying one trooper, who was not named, had been temporarily reassigned after attending on personal time with his family. When asked about Capt. Michael Webb’s assignment status, an agency spokesperson pointed back to that statement. “KSP is reviewing the employee’s participation. It is the right thing to do to protect our nation, democracy, agency and all KSP employees,” said acting KSP commissioner Phillip Burnett Jr. in the statement. “This is the same review process our agency follows any time there is questionable activity involving any law enforcement personnel within our agency.”

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) A Kentucky man claims in a new lawsuit that state troopers fractured several bones in his face by repeatedly punching him and that their training is at least partly to blame. The lawsuit, filed on Dec. 15 in U.S. District Court, claims that the man was beaten by several Kentucky State Police troopers and blames part of the incident on training that called for troopers to have a warrior mentality. Bradley Hamblin was being in investigated by KSP for an alleged arson in Whitley County. According to an arrest citation written by one of the troopers, Hamblin tried to run several times but was taken into custody.
