SaxaVord Spaceport, a former RAF radar station on the island of Unst will be the site of launches from next year after getting approval from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The UK's first vertical rocket launch spaceport is in the Shetland Islands in Scotland. The Shetland Islands in Scotland are now home to the United Kingdom's first spaceport that allows for rockets' vertical launch.
