Allegedly pulling a machete on another man. But the suspects family is telling us theres a little more to the story. 41yearold aldo rivera of worcester in District Court ordered held without bail in connection with a frightening confrontation near the high school. This cell phone video obtained by fox 25 shows the confrontation. Worcester police say as rivera held a machete which he grabbed from he threatened he would cut the other mans head off before he punched him in the face. All this taking place a block away from the high school and with riveras teen age children in his car. Before the confrontation police sayry survey and the other motorists were involved in a road rage incident. After court riveras wife and children wouldnt talk to us. His lawyer told us despite what the video shows the other driver was the real aggressor and rivera was acting in he was defending his kids and himself as best he could. Police in southern nevada. Theyre teaming up with a focus on drivers who are speeding, drivers who are distracted or drivers who appear to be breaking the law or perhaps driving dangerously. This is all because of the Labor Day Holiday weekend. Which begins this maximum enforcement friday. That continues into monday for the Labor Day Holiday. Again, along side the 15 freeway here you are seeing the result of that maximum enforcement. Weve seen a lot of these plates oneh the message to anybody is going to be driving whether in to southern nevada, las vegas, or south to california, is that the nhp and the california Highway Patrol together are putting an added focus on people who might be speeding or breaking other laws.
