A southern Indiana teacher is facing a felony charge after she allegedly purchased alcohol for high school students on prom day.
On May 15, officials say Floyd County High School teacher Katherine Jeanne Fondrisi, 38, purchased several bottles of liquor, including a bottle of vodka and a bottle of Malibu rum for the students during prom.Sign up for our Newsletters
Four teens involved in the incident were found in the parking lot of FCHS with the bottles in brown paper bags.
The bag had a credit card receipt showing the name of the cardholder as “FONDRISI/KATHERINE J,” according to officer Robbie Woodruff, who also serves as FCHS s school resource officer. He recognized the name on the receipt as one of the teachers at the school. ....

KINGMAN, Ariz. (KTNV) â The Mohave County Sheriffâs Office in Arizona has been conducting undercover sting operations around Mohave County for the past several years. The operation targets individuals who are using the internet to lure minors for sexual exploitation. Since these operations began, 33 individuals have been arrested. In an effort to promote transparency, the Mohave County Sheriffâs Office would like to update the community of the outcome of some of these arrests.
Jay Lawler, 47 of Laughlin, was arrested on August 20, 2019 for Luring a Minor for Sexual Exploitation (under the age of 15), Attempted Commercial Exploitation of a Minor (under the age of 15), and Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor (under the age of 15), all felonies.
