the gentleman from new york. thank you. i yield myself time. i am pleased that today, on this floor, though it may be late, we will finally act on legislation to increase the barring of party on behalf of the national flood insurance program. by increasing financing 99 $.7 billion, this will provide relief to one or 227,000 flood victims. i support the bill as a recovery from superstorm sandy. i believe the actions are still slow. 68 days have gone by. i know we have got commitments, but we are moving forwards and i am hopeful we will get the full entitlements the individuals from new york, new jersey, and connecticut finally need. some of the programs that need funding include engineers who work to protect new jersey s and york s shorelines. i want to thank every member of the new york, connecticut, and new jersey delegations for working collectively together to make sure our people because this as an issue that affects the american people they receive the kind of
