Route 60 resurfacing work to start Monday

Resurfacing of Townline Road (Route 60) from east of the Des Plaines River to Riverwoods Road, in Mettawa, will require daytime lane closures beginning, weather permitting, on Monday, the Illinois Department of Transportation has announced.

The seemingly never-ending rebuild of the Jane Byrne Interchange downtown continues, as does resurfacing on the outbound Kennedy Expressway. Interchanges on the Tri-State at I-57 and I-80 at U.S. 30 will also be rebuilt, with bridge replacements on I-80.
