investigations of baseless charges, harassment of the president, his cabinet members and we now know the obama era fbi spied on the trump campaign and attorney general, william barr, has ordered investigations into it all. the fbi director christopher wray for his part, says he s helping the attorney general find out what happened. he is trying to get a better understanding of the circumstances at the department and the fbi surrounding the initiation of this particular investigation. he and i have been in fairly close contact about it. we re trying to work together to help him get the understanding he needs on that subject. lou: he is a peculiar kind of deputy to say the least. one that contradicts both his boss, the attorney general and his boss, the president of the united states. and who curiously won t stand behind attorney general william barr s claim that spying did occur against the trump campaign. we take up the efforts to obstruct and to resist the trump presidency
quorum call: nearly three months ago i came to the senate floor for the first time to support president trump s nomination of brett kavanaugh to the united states supreme court. here s what i had to say at that time quote, judge kavanaugh is among the most distinguished and most nunn shall judges influential judges the supreme court excuse me, in the entire country. the supreme court has adopted the positions in his opinions no less than 11 times. he has authored multiple dissents that ultimately prevailed in the supreme court. he has taught courses at harvard law school, at yale law school, and georgetown s law school. and it bears mention, liberal and conservative justices alike have hired his former clerks, which shows the respect he has across the ideological spectrum. truly, mr. president, there is no one more qualified and more prepared to serve on the supreme court than brett kavanaugh, unquote. a lot has tr
