New no wake zones set on 2 Douglas County lakes

Two lakes in Douglas County, including Lake Latoka, will have permanent no wake zones on certain sections. On Lake Latoka, a no wake zone will be implemented at the Narrows, which runs under Interstate 94 between the north and south bays. This photo was taken by Craig Mische in 2018. Boaters beware, no wake zones have permanently been put in place on sections of two Douglas County lakes – Latoka and Lobster. Also, electric trolling motors are now OK to use on a portion of Lake Ida. ....
