it gets underway. right now at the white house, president biden is about to make a high-stakes video call with russian president vladimir putin amid an alarming buildup of russian troops along the border with ukraine. with me now to start off our coverage this hour, nbc news senior capitol hill correspondent, garrett haake, and nbc news white house correspondent, mike memoli. good morning, garrett. let me start with you. what can we expect to hear prosecute capitol police inspector general today? jose, the inspector general is going to say that the capitol police department, which secures this entire complex, has come a long way from january 6th, that they still have a long way to go. he will say that of the 200 or so security recommendations put in place for the department, only about 60 have been fully funded and taken care of, and that the department still has work to do to improve its training, to improve the morale among the officers, and improve the overall culture. h
