FBISE announces scholarships for Madrassa students

Islamabad : Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on the directions of Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood, has announced scholarships programme for Madrassa students.
According to Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training on Friday, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has directed the Federal Board to award as many as 20 scholarships to those male and female Madrassa students who get higher marks in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examinations.
On the directions of Shafqat Mahmood, Federal Board would provide an amount of Rs25,000 as a scholarships to the students who showed outstanding performance in SSC exams.
NCHD has introduced Primary Education in 100 Madaris

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) has introduced Primary Education in 100 Madaris (Religious Seminaries) in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
It was apprised to President Dr. Arif Alvi by the Chairman NCHD Colonel (retd) Dr. Amirullah Marwat in a meeting held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Tuesday wherein the latter presented the annual report of the Commission to the former who is the Patron-in-Chief of the NCHD.
In the meeting, the president was also apprised that the NCHD has also imparted training to 189,000 literacy teachers/supervisors in literacy and social mobilization.
