President Arif Alvi asks NCHD to promote universal primary education

Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi on Tuesday asked the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) to work for promotion of universal primary education in the country.
The President expressed these views while talking to NCHD Chairman Colonel (r) Dr Amirullah Marwat, who presented him the annual report of the commission here at Aiwan-e-Sadr. President Alvi said NCHD needed to focus on out-of-schoolchildren by providing them formal and non-formal education.
The NCHD chairman briefed the President about the future plans and role of the commission in promotion of human development and primary education. He said that NCHD had introduced primary education in 100 madaris (seminaries) in Islamabad Capital Territory, Azad Jammuand Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), besides training to 189,000 literacy teachers and supervisors in literacy

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) has introduced Primary Education in 100 Madaris (Religious Seminaries) in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
It was apprised to President Dr. Arif Alvi by the Chairman NCHD Colonel (retd) Dr. Amirullah Marwat in a meeting held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Tuesday wherein the latter presented the annual report of the Commission to the former who is the Patron-in-Chief of the NCHD.
In the meeting, the president was also apprised that the NCHD has also imparted training to 189,000 literacy teachers/supervisors in literacy and social mobilization.

Islamabad : The COVID-19 pandemic has not stopped at national borders. It has affected people regardless of nationality, level of education, income or gender. But the same has not been true for its consequences, which have hit the most vulnerable hardest. When there arouse such disasters precautionary measures only help you out from it. The only precautionary measure that works in such situations is social awareness.
This was observed by NCHD Director General Hassan Baig while addressing to the participants of the launching ceremony of ‘Coordinated Gap Analysis COVID-19 Report.’
The ceremony was held in Pakistan Manpower Institute Auditorium here on Tuesday.
