Quiet room. joining me now is karen finney msnbc political analyst and former communications director for the national for the democratic national committee. thank you for being here. hey, reverend. we talked about a nine-point bounce for the president from just one week ago. how much of that is due to the democrats pounding governor romney for his record? you know, i think the republicans and governor romney kind of did their own damage. i mean, you know, i look at that poll and i say okay. the american people had a week three days to take a look at the republican party and what they were offering in their own way. right? paul ryan got to go out there and represent himself in the way that he wanted to represent himself without a filter. and it seems to me that what people are saying you know what? we don t want that. we don t buy that. and i will be very interested to see the bounce we get coming out of this election. but more ipgs, this convention. but more importantly i ....
Even revolution in egypt, mubarak is gone. do you see a fairly sharp rebound it s such a popular tourist destination once things settle down are people wary for sometime to come? i think it depends on eat jipgs government, whatever form it actually takes. if they communicate confidently if they start messaging into the markets that it looks like it looks safe to travel sharm el sheikh and the nile, you could see bookings respond very quickly. but if the situation takes some time to come down there s any interruption of violence there, i m afraid travelers will travel elsewhere. okay. what does this do or how does this impact your expectations for travel in 2011? well, at the moment, since those places are not very, very large inbound destinations, with the exception of egypt, i don t think it s going to knock 2011 world travel off course. ....

He would look first when you look, what is in the national interest in the united states? is this man or woman a friend or a foe? and only after that, is their system something that we really would want here. i think that s the way he would have looked at it. because he maintained that treaty with israel, even when an awful lot of ejipgs thought it was a disaster and opposed it, mubarak maintained that treaty. reagan would have considered him a friend and an ally. that world of a bipolar ....
Solidarity or do you still feel like you are doing this on your own? not just for news organizations but actually from organizations that deal with the concerns of the media has a whole. i think such organizations are making quite a big noise. the situation that al jezeera faces today is in the context of events happening in a country which is really pivotal to a lot of people in the region and beyond. as you know the six were detained in their hotel and it took a reaction from the u.s. government, from the state department actually telling the ejipgs that they had to release them and luckily that happened. ....
