Coming soon: 5 new restaurants coming to RI to get excited about


Restaurant openings in Rhode Island have not slowed, pandemic or not. 
Four brand new ones are getting ready to open in coming weeks and months. Plus new owners have bought a 20-year-old cafe and bakery that they will reopen in March. 
The new businesses include a downtown Providence soul food restaurant, a bistro from three friends including the executive chef at Capital Grille, a Spanish eatery from the owners of Bacaro and a Warren restaurant with a low country menu.
The Village Hearth Bakery and Cafe in Jamestown has new owners, a couple who have relocated from Atlanta. 
Each of the four new restaurants replace ones that have closed, three in 2020.  ....
