Hunt apologises after hound mauls family's beloved pet cat to death

A Hunt has apologised unreservedly for the distress caused after their hound killed a family s pet cat outside its home.
Rebecca Bingham said her two-year-old feline Spider didn t stand a chance after the dog, who was being exercised by the High Peak Hunt, clamped its jaws around the cat s stomach and shook her like a rag doll in Bakewell, Derbyshire, on Tuesday.
The hunt yesterday admitted their dog had been responsible for the cat s death and said they were taking this matter very seriously .
Derbyshire Police said the incident had been reported to the force and enquiries are being made by officers into the circumstances of the incident. ....
