It was much lengthier, which i think caused some of us to speculate that all of these delays related to some juror issue, but the jurors are all back. Theres been no further discussion of the reason for the delay. Testimony is ongoing. The other intriguing thing that happened today was about sealed testimony about some rick gates testimony that could have to do with an investigation that is still ongoing. When we consider what investigations are still ongoing that rick gates might have to do with, were looking at the larger special counsel investigation into the russia probe. What do you make of that testimony being put under seal by the judge . Well, that came after an objection when the defense asked rick gates if he was asked questions by the fbi about his role in the Trump Campaign. And so at that point there was this sidebar where no doubt they discussed the scope of rick gates cooperation. It would not surprise me if he wasnt providing information about the time that he served as
you re going to say an impeachment inquiry ought to be started. i mean, if you want to boil down the case for televised public hearings with robert mueller even if he stays totally within the four corners of his report, if you want to boil it down to one quote and one antidote, let me offer you this. after justin amash held a town hall in his district two nights ago to talk about his call for impeachment hearings and why he came to that conclusion after reading mueller s report, after he explained that point to his constituents at home, here s one told nbc news. quote, one of the republicans who supported amash and the president said she was upset but wanted to hear his reasoning. she said she ll definitely support trump in 2020 but tuesday night was the first time she had heard that the mueller report didn t completely exonerate the president. quote, i was surprised to hear there was anything negative in the mueller report at all about
i mean today today literally as i speak right now members of the house democrats in congress are conducting a marathon live reading of mueller s report. at least the portion of it they ve been allowed to see, right? the house democrats started with this at noon. they ve been going all day long reading mueller s report out loud. they re expected to go through the night and maybe finish some time tomorrow morning. that s actually a live shot right now. i will say i watched this on and off throughout the day shout out to mary scanlon, they today have been really good readers. they make it sound like a better movie you could expect, even though in the report itself we ve got the president s lawyers threatening in the dead of night and all that melodrama
