What seemed like just minutes the park was full of people, exploring this corner of the waterfront. By all accounts, they liked it. We have a great lawn overlooking the bay. We have something that the neighborhoods of north beach and south beach do not have, a beach. [laughter] there is a gathering grove, a storm water garden, food trucks, and willie mccuvy returned perched gracefully on the shoreline of the china basin channel or some refer to it mccovey cove. We started planning for this day more then 15 years ago. It has been a long journey since our very first workshop at the port.
