New Delhi [India], February 5 (ANI): All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) on Friday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was not denied permission for Rath Yatra by the West Bengal state government and challenged BJP to provide evidence to the contrary. Govt West Bengal has not denied permission to any Yatra, as claimed by BJP. They are indulging in malicious propaganda with neither substance nor truth. BJP must show material evidence of GoWB denying permission to their Yatra. This is BJP s attempt to claim victimhood, said a tweet on TMC s Twitter handle.

Kolkata: In yet another hurdle for Bharatiya Janata Party s proposed Rath Yatra in poll-bound West Bengal, a PIL (public interest litigation) has been filed in the Calcutta High Court seeking directions to stop it citing concerns over law and order.
The saffron party has decided to carry out a peaceful political programme throughout West Bengal in the form of Rath Yatra in February and March covering all constituencies of the state, as per the party sources.

NEW DELHI: A PIL has been moved in the Calcutta high court seeking directions to stop the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) s rath yatras in the poll-bound West Bengal.
The PIL has been filed by advocate Rama Prashad Sarkar. BJP has announced that it will start the Yatra on February 6 and continue for 25 days. I beg to pray before chief justice to look into the matter. There is Covid-19 still going, law and order situation. So the Court should immediately stop the Yatra at this stage, Sarkar told ANI. Matter will be heard on Friday at 10.30am but I beg to pray that rath yatra should be immediately stopped, he added.
