Officials hold discussion on water resource management

Dimapur, May 29 (EMN): A two-day 5th World Bank Mission for Implementation Support under National Hydrology Project was held at Niathu Resort, Chümoukidima, on May 27 and 28. Altogether, 16 central and state implementing agencies of the National Hydrology Project from the east zone participated in the review mission. The objective of the mission was to review the physical and financial progress of the project and identify the bottlenecks and bridge the gap in planning and implementation. A DIPR report stated that all the 16 implementing agencies made a brief powerpoint presentation highlighting the achievements, status, and target to be attained during the programme. Representatives from the World Bank, department of Water Resources, and Ministry of Jal Shakti took part in the programme. It added that 16 implementing agencies from the east zone namely Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Jharkhand, West Bengal (SW), West Bengal (GW), Odisha, Bihar (SW) Bihar
