In what came as a big jolt to the Kapoor family, Rajiv Kapoor breathed his last on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. It was undoubtedly heartbreaking news for the Kapoor family who has been struggling to come in terms with Rishi Kapoor and Ritu Nanda’s demise who passed away last year. Ever since the news of Rajiv’s demise surfaced, several celebs took to their respective social media handles to pay their last respects to Rajiv. Joining them, Mandakini has also mourned the demise of the late actor.

Times of India reported that Kapoor Jr, popularly known as Chimpu, suffered a heart attack. His eldest brother Randhir rushed him to Mumbai s Inlaks Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.

TOI, saying, I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save him. The youngest of the Kapoor brothers, Rajiv was known for his performance in the 1985 film Ram Teri Ganga Maili , Raj Kapoor s last directorial venture. His last on-screen outing as a hero was in Zimmedaar . In between he starred in a few films which didn t fare too well at the box-office.
