A 3. 3 magnitude quake hit about 5 00 a. M. It was about 13 miles north of healdsburg. No reports of injuries or damage so far. But what a way to wake up at least for those folks. And yesterday we were waking up to pounding rain across the bay area. Kari has a look at our forecast right now. That rain is getting lighter. This storm system is moving out but it was impressive. Now as we take a look at storm ranger, we are catching a break for much of the bay area. Still some lingering showers down around gilroy as well as around the napa area over toward Solano County. Hello and welcome. The European Union has backtracked this hour in a row with the United Kingdom over the export of Coronavirus Vaccines. Earlier, brussels introduced new controls giving Member States the power to block vaccines being sent abroad. Then to reinforce that, it announced the invoking of a clause in the brexit deal that would reinstate border checks between the eu and Northern Ireland, in Effect Stopping Vaccines entering the u k by the back door. It all underlines how sensitive the distribution of vaccines has become as nick beake reports. Throughout the week, this post brexit battle between the eu and a british based Vaccine Maker has been intensifying. European countries are demanding that astrazeneca delivers all the jabs they ordered, even if it means taking them from the uk supply. Meteorologist kari hall, the rain is moving on out, moving to the east. We are seeing quite a bit of rain across the bay area into parts of the east bay and we are seeing this rain, pockets of heavy downpours around walnut creek and concord and some rain near berkeley. We are going to see some of the heavier pockets of rain right around san leandro and on 580 so that may slow you down for the commute. Heading over to san mateo and parts of the peninsula dealing with heavy rain where we see the dark greens and yellow. Still raining in los gatos and over the Santa Cruz Mountains that will be moving into the city within the next few minutes. We do still have a lot of rain to tracking a the lingering rain continues.
