Legion) recalls filming the wild, wonderful new series.
He tells Collider: “
We finished that just before Christmas. It was really so wonderful because it was such challenging circumstances. That’s a wonderful creator, in Mike Flanagan, and he put together a wonderful ensemble of people. We were all in our Canadian lockdown, all the way from home, in these foreign homes. You’d come to work and you take off your PPE for long enough to do a scene, and then put yourself away again. It was wild. Mike Flanagan has recently confirmed that there are no plans to continue his
Haunting anthology on Netflix, at least for the time being. The in-demand creator said as much while answering a fan question on Twitter, though he attests that things could change, given the right circumstances. At the moment there are no plans for more chapters, Flanagan said when asked if we ll get a follow-up series to this year s
The Haunting of Bly Manor. Never say never, of course, but right now we are focused on a full slate of other [Intrepid Pictures] projects for 2021 and beyond. If things change we will absolutely let everyone know!

“It has been an extraordinary, unprecedented production, and I cannot be prouder of this amazing cast and crew. In fact – and I do not say this lightly – this has been the best production experience of my career.”
He continued,
“We began prepping this series in December, 2019. We were mere days away from shooting when the production was shut down in March 2020 because of the pandemic. We left our sets standing, dropped everything and frantically got our cast and crew to their homes as the lockdown began.”
“We resumed prep in July 2020, and actually began shooting on August 17th. By the time certain other productions were getting headlines for “leading the charge” and “reigniting Vancouver production” in early September, we’d already been quietly shooting for several weeks.
