hard look at the uc system s finances. i m frank mallicoat. i m anne makovec in for michelle griego. the students did not get as far as they wanted. they were stopped by security after jumping a barrier trying to deliver a letter to the uc president, janet napolitano. the university of california s governing board is meeting in san francisco for the second day today discussing. uc funding and reviewing a recently approved 5% annual tuition hike. hey hey, ho ho, tuition hikes have got to go! reporter: you can hear students are not happy about the move. governor brown and napolitano plan to form a two-person committee to agree on how much state funding the system should receive in order to avoid that tuition hike. san mateo authorities announced they have successfully extradited the man they think is responsible for two cold case murders on the peninsula. 66-year-old was moved from oregon state prison to san mateo county. he is charged with two counts of murder in 1976.
