HCM City is restructuring its industry for sustainable development by 2030, aiming for net zero emissions by 2050, focusing on high-tech and emission reduction.

HCM CITY HCM City authorities have tightened COVID prevention measures by setting up 25 task forces in 21 districts and Thủ Đức City, and improving testing capacity to one million samples per day.
The task forces led by the Department of Health will focus on high-risk areas such as industrial parks, export processing zones and high-tech zones.
Twenty-two of the task forces will work with leaders of People’s Committees in city districts and Thủ Đức City to enhance prevention measures in those areas. The other three task forces will support management boards in export processing zones, industrial parks and high-tech parks, including the Quang Trung Software Park.

Quang Trung Software City, which was founded in 2001, is the first and largest software park in Vietnam. Located in a total area of 43 hectares, it has been assigned to develop the Vietnam software industry and start-up community.

Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia congratulate new Foreign Minister
Foreign ministers of Laos, Cambodia and Indonesia have extended congratulations to Bui Thanh Son on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In a phone talk with his Vietnamese counterpart on April 9, Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith said he believes that Son will lead his ministry in efforts to reap more successes in foreign affairs.
Saleumxay Kommasith is the first foreign minister to make a congratulatory phone call to the Vietnamese newly-appointed minister.
